How We Fit a Mattress in a Box

How We Fit a Mattress in a Box

Thanks to today’s technology, there are very few things that you can’t have delivered to your doorstep. Online shopping is a great convenience for all of those that lead a busy life and find it hard to carve out time to visit stores. While buying clothes from the internet is fun and easy, what happens when it’s time to change out your mattress? After all, sleep is essential to a healthy lifestyle, and a comfortable mattress is essential to sleep.
Traditional mattress shopping can be a hassle. For the most part, the mattresses are big and awkward to transport; and their costs are higher because these companies need to worry about covering the cost of the showroom’s rent and their salespeople. Thanks to BedInABox, you can skip the stressful day of going store to store trying to find a new mattress, and shop for it online! With just a clock, you can have your new mattress delivered to your home in an easily-handled box. Not only are you saving time, but money as well!
So, how is it possible that a mattress can be delivered in a box? All BedInABox® mattresses are made of memory foam. The first step in our boxing process is to cover your mattress in a plastic sheathing for its protection. We use automated compression technology and a powerful hydraulic press to compress our mattresses into a small enough size that we can use standard shipping methods to deliver them to your home. Usually, this means the mattress ends up boxed by being squeezed to less than half of its thickness. Once compressed, the mattress continues its journey down the conveyor belt until it reaches the folding section. The machine then folds the mattress in half to make sure it is as flat as it can be. It then gets rolled up into the cylinder that subsequently gets placed in a box and shipped to your house. Because of the foam’s qualities, the mattress that has been compressed and rolled can expand and return to its original shape/size once unboxed. Therefore, once your order arrives, just take the mattress out of the box, peel away the plastic cover, and watch it grow to the dimensions you chose!
Sounds complicated? Well, the wrapping, compressing, sealing, rolling, and packaging only takes a couple of minutes! The process that makes our idea a reality is achieved by machinery that can perform all of the before mentioned steps rapidly without damaging any of the components of the bed. Many corporations are applauding how the technology maintains quality and betters the packaging and distribution process of the larger mattress industry. In fact, the demand for these types of beds has been growing so much that the equipment is only getting better and faster. For example, there is a machine that can roll up to three foam mattresses per .
Not only do we pride ourselves in our process and machinery, but also in the top of the line materials that we use. The foam and fabrics used have been cautiously chosen and tested to ensure that they recover successfully to their uncompressed standards. This way your mattress will not remain wrinkly or twisted once unboxed. Additionally, all of our foams are CertiPUR-US® certified, guaranteeing that they do not contain any harmful chemicals.
Once again, does our boxing process damage our product? No! The memory foam used in all of our products can handle being pressed down and having people tossing and turning on it without sacrificing its shape. Regardless of the compression method, our mattresses have a lifespan of about 10 years. Moreover, we offer more support than a traditional mattress because our foam contours to the customers body. As a result of our materials’ quality, our mattresses have no weight limit.
What to do when our boxed mattress arrives by mail? Take the bed out of the box, carefully remove the plastic cover, and let your new mattress expand. You can lie down on your mattress after just minutes of taking it out of the protective cover, but it usually takes between 24 and 48 hours for it to regain its full shape. Unbox, unwrap, and decompress to enjoy your new mattress.
Invest in your well-being by picking a mattress that’s right for you! Choose your size, and let us do what we do best: wrap, compress, seal, roll, ship to your door, and provide you with our excellent products made 100% in the United States. BedInABox offers a 120-Night Sleep Trial to ensure you are getting the best mattress and sleep quality. Stop tossing and turning, and save on better sleep with any of our mattresses! Why People Choose Bed In A Box

Why People Choose Bed In A Box In 2004, three experts (a foam expert, a digital marketer, and a machine builder) got together in Tennessee and discussed what seemed like a crazy idea: what if we take a queen-sized mattress and put it in a box that freight companies accept? Fast-forward eighteen months and the first machine that made it possible to fit mattresses in smaller boxes was born. It’s been sixteen years since the start of our company, and now the market is full of other brands that specialize in the same area as us. So, with all the competing brands in the market, why should you choose Bed-In-A-Box ? Easy, we are the only brand who has maintained their original philosophy of not only providing their customers with comfortable, affordable sleep; but to maintain all aspects of our mattress’ manufacturing within the United States. Two years ago, our company decided to establish strong ties with NCFI , the American leader in the manufacturing of flexible polyurethane...
